My Therapeutic Style & Approach
You can honor your culture and your needs—healing doesn't mean letting go of where you come from.
I believe therapy is most powerful when it feels like a genuine, trusting connection. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in deep empathy, with enough structure to gently guide personal growth. I strive to create a culturally sensitive space where you can explore your emotions, relationships, and internal conflicts without judgment or pressure to "perform."
As a South Asian woman, I understand the cultural nuances of growing up between two worlds—the unspoken family expectations, the weight of traditional roles, and the ongoing journey of defining who you are amidst it all.
I work especially well with clients exploring mother-daughter dynamics, intergenerational trauma, and the internal tug-of-war between self and family. These challenges are common among BIPOC individuals and first- and second-generation immigrants, and I provide a safe, affirming space to unpack them.
Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Whether you're learning to set boundaries, healing from cultural or familial wounds, or navigating major life transitions, we will tailor your therapy journey to what feels most authentic to you.
"I'll walk beside you as you learn to trust yourself more deeply and move forward grounded in both who you are and who you want to become."
My work integrates evidence-based approaches such as trauma-informed care, psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems theory. Together, we will explore patterns across generations, build emotional clarity, and develop tools for self-awareness and healing.
Whether you're struggling with cultural pressures, family expectations, or seeking clarity in your identity and relationships, therapy with me offers a space that's empowering, nonjudgmental, and tailored to your story.
AS SEEN ON — or so I’m told. I don’t actually watch myself.
Self-awareness? Great. Self-playback? Absolutely not.
