As a Korean American therapist, I understand the complexity of navigating identity, cultural expectations, and family dynamics — especially within immigrant and minority communities. Many of my clients come in carrying anxiety, trauma, OCD, or depression while also trying to hold together relationships, transitions, and responsibilities. Therapy with me is a space where your culture is honored, not questioned or changed.

I have a deep specialty in OCD — a condition that is frequently misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and undertreated, particularly in Asian American and BIPOC communities where the symptoms are often dismissed as perfectionism, overthinking, or just being "too sensitive." If you've been told to just stop worrying, or if your intrusive thoughts have quietly taken over your daily life, I see you and I know how to help.

I also specialize in eating disorders — working with children, teens, and adults navigating their relationship with food, body image, and the cultural pressures that often shape both. Within Asian American families especially, conversations about food, body, and appearance carry a specific weight that most therapists aren't equipped to hold. I am.

My work with children ages 12 and up incorporates play therapy — a powerful, evidence-based approach that allows younger clients to process emotions, trauma, and identity in ways that feel natural and safe for where they are developmentally.

I also provide mental health assessments, offering structured evaluations that help clients and families better understand diagnoses, treatment needs, and next steps.

As a Korean-speaking therapist, I offer sessions in Korean for clients who want to process in their first language. Healing is deeper when you don't have to translate yourself.

I see clients in-person at our Allen, TX office and virtually across Texas — making culturally informed care accessible wherever you are.
