My Therapeutic Style & Approach
Are you exhausted from always being the strong one?
The one who holds everything together.
The one who manages to succeeds.
The one who doesn’t get to fall apart.
Many of the teens and young adults I work with are aware, but overwhelmed in private. They navigate anxiety, questions of self and identity, transitions in life, family expectations, relationship stress, and the psychic toll of moving through spaces that don’t always feel safe or affirming.
I specialize in working with teens and young adults of color who are tired of code-switching, over-performing, and shrinking themselves to fit. I will not need you to educate me on racial stress, cultural expectations, or what it is like to carry pressure that others cannot see.
But you also don’t have to identify a particular way of working with me. If you’re exhausted, anxious, don’t know who you are anymore or are simply looking for a space that feels grounded and real, then you belong here.
"This is not a space for performance; it is a space to exhale."
Other days, we create pragmatic toolkits for anxiety, overthinking, and emotional regulation. Other days we slow down a bit and address those things that weigh down the soul.
Who am I beyond the expectations?
Why do I have to make everyone else comfortable
What do I really want?
I integrate CBT for managing anxious thought patterns, mindfulness for grounding your nervous system, and deeper reflective work for identity and purpose. Therapy is collaborative — structured enough to create progress, flexible enough to honor your pace.
I won’t pathologize your cultural experience. I won’t generalize complex family systems. And I won’t tell you to “just set boundaries,” without acknowledging what that actually costs you. This is culturally affirming therapy that will meet you where you are, and move you forward. Scratching your head is not a prerequisite to calling me. You don’t have to have all the answers before you call either, but if you’re sick of shouldering it alone, therapy can be the place where you finally set some of it down.
AS FEATURED ON — period.
Did I show up and talk about anxiety like a fully licensed adult? Yes.
Did I replay it back to analyze my facial expressions? No.
We’re self-aware.
We’re not self-torturing.
