My Therapeutic Style & Approach

Tired of code-switching, performing, and being the "strong" one in every room you enter? Ready to finally put that weight down? You've come to the right place.

As a Black therapist, I understand what it means to navigate spaces that weren't built for us—the constant performance, the pressure to represent your entire race, the exhaustion of explaining microaggressions to people who don't want to hear it. I work with Black teens and young adults who are emotionally drained from carrying systemic weight while trying to figure out who they are.

Here's what therapy with me looks like: This is your space to exhale. Not perform, not achieve, not prove—just be. Some sessions we're building practical skills to manage anxiety or cope with stress. Other times we're sitting with heavy emotions and naming what's been weighing on you. We might explore identity questions (Who am I beyond what people expect?), navigate relationship dynamics, or work through transitions that have you feeling lost.

I bring warmth, humor, and zero judgment. For my teens, I'm like the big sister who actually listens and cares about what you're going through. For my young adults, I'm that chill homegirl who's going to keep it real while creating space for you to be messy, confused, or whatever you need to be. No fake positivity here—just authentic support.

"Therapy is a deep exhale, a space for you to rest, release, and reconnect without having to perform or explain your identity."

What makes working with me different? You don't have to explain the Black experience here. I already know what it's like to navigate predominantly white spaces, carry cultural expectations, and deal with racial stress that others dismiss. I won't pathologize your family dynamics or suggest you "just set boundaries" without understanding the cultural complexity. This is culturally affirming therapy that honors your whole experience.

You don't need to have it all figured out to start therapy. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, navigating identity, processing transitions, or simply exhausted from existing in spaces that don't see you fully—I'm here. No performance required. No explanations needed. Just space to release what's heavy and reconnect with who you really are.
